  1. Not a 17 or 21 hp advantage. If NASCAR told Toyota to throttle down 15 hp then they are still 2 hp more than Chevy. So it should not be an unfair advantage.

    These were the ratings

    632 Toyota

    611  Ford

    612  Chevrolet

      628 for Dodge.

If NASCAR orders Toyota to reduce 15  horsepower then

    632 - 15 = 617

That means dodge would then have the advantage.  But according to Kyle Busch fans If a 20 horsepower advantage over Chevy is fair then so should Dodge's new advantage of 11 horsepower. Toyota will still have an advantage over Ford and Chevy but not  by just a few horsepower.

Dyno tests after the June 21 race at The Milwaukee Mile revealed a significant horsepower advantage for Toyota over Ford and Chevrolet. Toyota's peak horsepower number was 632, compared with 611 for Ford, 612 for Chevrolet and 628 for Dodge.

  2. NO MORE THAN THE TOYOTAS OR THE CHV,ALOT HAS TO DO W.THE DRIVER BELIEVE IT OR NOT..

  3. I don't know about the Nationwide Series, but they're going to have a driver advantage at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday

  4. No, they are one of the big 3 so their advantages don't count.

  5. Yep, but they have a severe DRIVER  & OWNER disadvantage......

....d**n IT! Fluffy beat me to it....

  6. Yes they do but I bet no one is going to complain about them

  7. To answer the question, no. According to nascar they are all equal now.  lol

Tina, you aren't by any chance in politics are you? Way to take a story and twist it to back up a point you are desperately trying to make. Let me DO THE MATH.

You wrote "Dyno tests after the June 21 race at The Milwaukee Mile revealed a significant horsepower advantage for Toyota over Ford and Chevrolet. Toyota's peak horsepower number was 632, compared with 611 for Ford, 612 for Chevrolet and 628 for Dodge"

    632 Toyota

    611 Ford

    612 Chevrolet

    628 for Dodge

Why are you using old data?

Let's look at what the latest word is from the article you linked us as your source.

"After the July 11 race at Chicagoland Speedway, NASCAR took 10 engines -- three Toyotas, three Chevys, two Fords and two Dodges -- to its Research & Development Center in Concord, N.C., for further evaluation. The engine from David Reutimann's No. 99 Toyota was the top performer, but top-to-bottom, the test produced a much narrower range than the numbers from the Milwaukee test."

Hmmm. That sure sounds a lot different then the data you sourced. You wouldn't be picking and choosing information from old data to make your arguement...... would you? I could see why you would need to after they wrote "The engine from David Reutimann's No. 99 Toyota was the top performer, but top-to-bottom, the test produced a much narrower range than the numbers from the Milwaukee test."

MUCH NARROWER? What do you think they mean by that? The 99 huh? You mean it wasn't the #20 with the advantage? You know the car that has been winning all the races? How could that be?

The test produced a MUCH narrower range then the old data you referenced? The old data you cling to like the security blanket. Why would you quote the old data then? Maybe to back up an invalid point?

Well if the rest of the cars were MUCH closer in range, then wouldn't something restricting 15 hp bring them below what everone else was running? I mean if the 99 was top dog and everyone else was MUCH closer, wouldn't that drop the 20 below the rest of the field? Why would they do that?

    You said

Good grief 18fan - you are in denial. I gave a link to back up my statement. All you have to do is do the figures. The numbers are on that link.

"Think 18fan" and quit grasping for any excuse you can to deny the facts.

    ......DO THE MATH.......

I read the link, I've done the math, and your math don't add up!

Way to post a link that proves just how twisted your sense of reality is.

  8. Yes

  9. they better. they were 3rd & 4th in the ratings, after two toyotas & ahead of one other.

what are they going to do about that!!!

ps. guess the cat in the hat's whining seems to have paid off, for now. what's he going to cry about now when they aren't winning every week? i've lost all respect for him.
