  1. Realistically , NO!

The division leaders are at 48 wins and 50 losses.

The Padres are at 37 wins and 61 losses.

If the division leaders play at .500, they would win 79 and lose only 83.

Can you really visualize the Padres winning 42 more games this season.

Only 64 games to play and 42 more wins to tie and then only a three way tie at that would equal  a winning percentage of .656 for the last 64 games.

I don't consider such a happening as being viable

  2. No. the division will go to either the dbacks ot the dodgers. they have more chance because of their players.

i Think the Dbacks will get it at the end.

  3. No. Peavy can't carry the pitching staff by himself. With Hoffman rendered ineffective by Father Time and an anemic, underachieving offense (save Adrian Gonzalez), they don't have the horses to make a run.

  4. no not this tear year

  5. No.

I think my Dodgers are going to win the division.

  6. Yes. They play in the worst division in baseball. So, if they go on a run similar to Colorado's last year, they have a chance.

A very, very, very small chance, to be sure, but weird things happen regularly in baseball.

If they played in any other division, of course, they would have been buried long ago.

  7. the seasons not over yet! of course they do

  8. Uhhh Ummmm I gonna say no?  Actually thats a confident NO!  One answer pitching.  Without pitching you can't win.  And just curious how do you guys (SD) feel about Mark Prior?  Thank god the Cubs gave up on him.

But stranger things have happened and the west is a crazy division this year.  I will root for SD because of Maddox ,I want him to win.  I also feel bad because of last year with COL, what a bunch of c**p that was......Holiday was OUT!!!   Good Luck Fathers

  9. a chance...sure. But we're talking about a very little chance.  With some HUGE trades and a hot streak it could be pulled off.  But let's be honest here and start looking at next year.  Two hot rookies and a All Star can't carry this team.
