  1. The present king, Bhumipol Adulyadej, has some Chinese ancestry from his mother. HRH Princess Mother Srinagarindra (born 21 October 1900, Thon Buri – died 18 July 1995, Bangkok) was the Princess Mother of Thailand. Srinagarindra was born to an ethnic Chinese goldsmith and his Thai wife, both of whom were commoners.

King Taksin the Great (April 17, 1734 - April 7, 1782) was king of Siam from 1768 to 1782. He was born in Ayutthaya and given the name Sin. His father Hai-Hong, who worked as a tax-collector, was a Teochew Chinese immigrant with roots from Chenghai District, and his mother Lady Nok-lang was Thai.

  2. The Previous Dynasty was by king Taksin, recently been honoured as Great King.  He was a Chinese name Zheng Zhao 郑昭。

He was reported to be mad, and overthrown by his childhood friend, General Chao Phraya Chakri. Which is Rama 1 of present Dynasty.

King Chao Phraya Chakri's mom was a chinese, making him half Chinese.

During King Taksin time, he invited his countrymen, Chaozhao (Teochew) people to come to Bangkok to do business.  Thus this people setting up china town near the old palace.

Currently, one can still use Teochew in Chinatown(Yaowarat). Technically, almost 40% of Bangkok people are Chinese, and the maga business are run by the Chinese too.
