Do the Toyota's and Dodge's at Daytona and Talladega run more rpm's then Chevy's and Ford's? Why?

Because last fall's Cup race at Dega, I heard that the Chevy's and Ford's run less rpm's, and the Toyota's and Dodge's run around 8500-9000 rpms. Why is that?

  2. yep the rear gear sets the rpm level when you're flar out all the way around

  3. Because the Chevy and Fords run less RPM's than the Toyota's and Dodges.

  4. The make of the car really doesnt have anything to do with it, the gear selections in the rear end is what controls that.
