Assassins are not employed full time by MI5 or 6 but are hired on an individual case basis. Methods vary and should the assassin be caught he can expect no assistance from MI5/6 who will dismiss any claim of liability out of hand. Heads of State are not targetted because it would become a free-for-all.

No - we don't practise assasination (licenced to kill a la 007 Bond figments of the imagination.)

Unlike certain other countries which do.

Occassionally - due to communication break-downs - our special forces might appear to be so licenced - but they are not - and risk legal prosecution if they cross the line.

Could be the case we have exta special forces beyond secrecy - which, by definition, will remain so. But they obviously do not assasinate - if they did we would have taken Sadman Insane out - avoiding the sad loss of life in Gulf Wars - and General Galtieri - avoiding the Falklands War.

Sadly - other countries don't follow our example.
