Do the air conditioner turn off on higher temperatures?

Question

Say if we had the ac on auto and the temp is 70 and we raise the temp to 90 without turning off the AC will it turn off by it self or will the Ac stay on to keep the temperature at a constent 90degrees?

Wherever you have the temperature set at, the AC will keep that temperature.  That is provided that you don't set it at 50* ...you'll freeze the condenser and then you'll have to thaw it.

off course not. Those who say it to you probably use the timer to set their Aircond.
