Ever since they benched Allen, they've dominated the last 2 weeks. Their defense is said to be really good too. I'm not a huge CFL guy, so I'm wondering what you think.

  1. they might just make it i hope so cos i have a cool $100 on them

  2. First off, I was at the game last night.  The Stamps really came out flat against a very good defense.  The Argo offense could have scored 70, were it running as it should be.  Also, Calgary has been beaten badly twice consecutively now...

The Argo defense looks dominant, no question.  Offense, though, Bishop went down with an injury that could cause a problem.  I doubt Mike McMahon, who relieved him, is the answer there either.  Might give Allen a chance to break back in, but not sure that works.

Thing is, though, defense can win championships...though they don't tend to in the CFL.  The Argos did play the Lions...supposedly the league's class team...tight in week one.  The other advantage would be the Argos would be hosting the game should they get that far.

To make a long story short (too late), are they legitimate?  Yes.

  3. Of course they do! They are having a good start to the season (2-1) and are already coming off a good season from last year (10-8). They will be in a tight race with the Bombers for first place I think, since Hamilton and Montreal are struggling. They are a shoo-in for the playoffs already, so they will just need to work their way up from there. There offense is doing great so far. They have already raked up 100 points in just 4 games. Their D is looking nice to with only 44 points given up.

The Argos do have a legitimate shot at the Grey Cup. And it won't be too hard for them, if they can just make their way past Winnipeg, their practically already there.

  4. All roads to the Grey Cup go through Winnipeg.

  5. If we talk about a dynasty in the East...

Since 2000, the Alouettes has been in the Grey Cup Final five times out of seven with one win while the Argos went once, and win it too.

I'm not implying anything, just a historical fact.

  6. With Montreal in a rebuilding year and Hamilton being, well, Hamilton, Toronto should definitely contend for the Eastern Division championship.  While I have them pegged to finish second in the regular season, I do feel that being the host city of this year's Grey Cup should give them that extra incentive, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the finals.

As for winning it all?  Personally, I feel that the road to the Grey Cup goes through the Western Division.  While Toronto played the BC Lions close in Week 1, I have yet to see any team that can unseat the Lions as Grey Cup champs this year.  Barring any late-season injuries, I think we'll see BC repeat.

  7. B.C lions are a dynasty

  8. I think the 2 best are B.C. and Winnipeg but Toronto definatly has a chance. I'm just starting to watch cfl now so I don't know if both B.C. and Winnipeg can meet in the Grey Cup.
