  1. Yes. I believe they have a shot. Too bad they did not trade for one big name pitcher otherwise they should be at the top spot.

However, beating brewer not naming CC Sabathia or Ben Sheet is pretty much meaningless. What is hurting is sending out the aces but still lose the game. Like Cubs did to them earlier.

  2. The Cardinals are 3.5 games behind the Brewers for the wild card and about even with the Mets and Phillies, and one of those teams will finish second in the NL east. 3.5 games doesn't seem like much but it really is at this point in the season.  Should the Brewers just go 15-14 in their remaining 29 games the Cardinals would have to go 19-9 in their remaining 28 games to finish ahead of the Brewers.  And in addition to that they would also have to finish ahead of the second place team in the NL east.  This would be a very difficult task for the Cardinals and would become much more difficult should the Brewers do better than 15-14 down the stretch which they are fully capable of doing.

  3. We did beat the Brewers, but we were down 3-0 until the 8th and had to win both games to really have a chance. I think they still have a shot, but I'm starting to think about next year now. It's very slim that the Cards get in.

  4. Anything is possible, but the Cardinals have some tough games coming up. Brewers do too (Mets, Phillies, Cubs, twice) but the Brewers schedule looks easier.

  5. I think with CC the Brewers are definitely the favorites, but anything is possible.

  6. 3.5 games is a whole lot more attainable than 5.5 that they woulda had if they lost. 29 games left, anything can happen. If carp comes back again strong that should give them a boost. Glad the closer situation is finally sorted out, Perez is looking nasty.

  7. No

  8. Of course they still have a chance.  Unless you are mathematically out of it every team has a chance.  Do I think they will make it?  No, I think getting past the Brewers will be a very tough task to do.  You're chances are much greater if you're able to sweep them in this series here.

  9. No, you can't turn whining into winning. Pujols is a crybaby!!!
