Question:

Do the clocks change here in Ireland like they do twice a year in theU.K.?

In the U.K. the clocks are changed twice a year, an hour forward in spring and back an hour in the auturm. Does the same happen here in Ireland????? If so, can anyone tell me when please??? i dont want to be an hour early for work!!!! Thanks.

  4. Hi,yes they go back On the 28th.I always put mine back when I go to bed on the saturday that way I am not up 1 hour early on the sunday morning.

  6. The time changes at the same time as in the UK. The next one is at the end of October when the clocks go back one hour.

    Ireland is actually 30 mins behind GMT but still have GMT as its national time

  8. Yes on the same days. This year they'll go back on the 28th of October. So you'd be an hour late if you don't change them...surely that's worse than being an hour early!!

  11. The change at the same time and in the same direction as in the UK.   There is never a time difference between the UK and Ireland.

    Sunday, 28 October 2007, 02:00:00 clocks are turned backward 1 hour to Sunday, 28 October 2007, 01:00:00 local standard time.

  15. Yes. Most countries with daylight savings now follow an internationally agreed date when the times should change. Clocks go back an hour on the last Sunday morning in October (typically 2am is changed to 1am). Clocks go forward an hour in the last Sunday in March (typically 1am is changed to 2am).

    I believe that Ireland conforms to this practice.
