  1. The community has a responsibility to provide basic care and services for its members.  That is why we have a government in general, and agencies like Child Protective Services in particular.  This is why citizens pay taxes - to provide for the common good, with paved roads and clean water and, in this case, the protection and well-being of children who need it.

If members of specific sub-communities, such as a church group, wish to also provide for their members whose needs may go unnoticed or underserviced by the larger community, then yes, they may do so.  They are not legally bound to do so; whether they are morally bound to help depends on that group's particular definition of morals.

  2. i think the community should try to help those people instead of calling the child protective services every time they see a child doing without.there are a lot of kids who do without not because their parents arent trying to provide for them but the money they make is not enough to get them through whatever they  need.then there are some parents who don't give a rats ---- about their kids and need to be dealt with.by the proper athourities.

  3. The welfare system provides very well for all their needs and it is paid for with your tax dollars. There is no reason at all why a child should be in need.

I don't think its the communities responsibility to provide even more.

  4. No a responsibility but it is nice of them to help
