That the earth has been warming since the last ice age (about 10 thousand years of warming to this point) ?

global warming is Very real - that much is a fact.

The question is - Are humans making it worse ? and if so, can we do something about it ?

Or is this just a natural warming trend that has little if anything to do with us ?

  1. Cons aren't in tune with reality.  I think your'e asking too much of them to provide an intelligent answer.

  2. tHIS IS A GOOD ONE,AN THE ONLY ANSWER I CAN GIVE IS ONLY GOD KNOWS

  3. Basically we are at the total end of the ice age,  during the time of the dinosaur weather was about 30 degrees warmer.  Life on this planet adapts and has adapted to temperature changes well.  The left is using this false dilemma to try to Garner votes throw fear mongering.

So who are the real terrorist?

  4. Have you ever listened to the "con's" argument?  You cannot deny rising temperatures.  That has been seen statistically for the past 20 years.  Where the problem lies is with the human impact on global warming.  1) we know the earth is warmer than it was 2) we cannot prove why 3) we cannot say whether we can change it or not.

When we can't predict the weather from week to week, how can we expect to know what will happen 10, 50, or 1,000 years from now?

Greenhouse gasses are the area of contention.  What humans put out is minuscule in comparison to what mother nature puts out.  What most "experts" fail to state is how much greenhouse gas is released during every volcanic eruption, or how much methane is released when plants and bacteria grow, or how much extra energy we are getting from the sun.

I wouldn't go buying carbon offsets just yet.  The science behind greenhouse gasses is pretty weak.

This graph clearly shows that the start of the most dramatic and sustained rise in temperature and C02.. coincides EXACTLY with the Industrial revolution...and continues to rise at accelerating rates.

  6. The scientific community says we are,BUT, you have to remember that this the Same Bunch that in 1970's and -80's was warning us that "For Certain"  the coming Ice Age was nearing and we could do nothing to stop it..

  7. really...Only 150 years ago, Europe came to the end of a 500 year cold snap so severe that thousands of peasants starved. The Little Ice Age changed the course of European history. Dutch canals froze over for months, shipping could not leave port, and glaciers in the Swiss Alps overwhelmed mountain villages. Five hundred years of much colder weather changed European agriculture, helped tip the balance of political power from the Mediterranean states to the north, and contributed to the social unrest that culminated in the French Revolution. The poor suffered most. They were least able to adjust to changing circumstances and most susceptible to disease and increased mortality. These five centuries of periodic economic and social crisis in a much less densely populated Europe are a haunting reminder of the drastic consequences of even a modest cooling of global temperatures.

  8. This "con" knows that global warming is indeed a natural occurring phenomena and humans have very little to do with it.

  9. The scientific community overwhelmingly says that we are, without a doubt, contributing to global warimg through excess carbon release.
