Im applying as homeless for a 1 bedroom property, and was wondering what the waiting time is likely to be between a hostel and a flat?

  1. i've been homeless for 15 years unless your an immigrant your pretty much screwed

  2. Depends where you live could be years

  3. my brother has been waiting 2 years, for now he lives from one sofa to the next. sorry but thats the hard truth.

  4. if you are homeless you have top priority. However you could be in a b&b for up to 2 years. The more likely waiting time is 8 months. Beware, they may offer you something you don't want, and they can then discharge their duty to you it you refuse the offer. Meaning they kick you out of the B&B.

You would be better applying as homeless and sleeping on a friend's sofa.

EDIT: if you are in London you may not even get a B&B
