One learned contributor said that its all poor tax payers money...I beg to differ, strongly. It is the money of the entrepreneurs and corporations, which they have earned through known and well publicized sources and on which they have paid all the taxes and it is their income. They can spend it anyway they see fit.

It is not tax payer's money, it is the personal income of the owners of the teams, which they are spending on players !
