Is the screen name Shawn Estes the same as Chris Hammond? I saw the same question, worded slightly different, but with the exact same content, deleted.

What's with the flip-flop on global warming and hurricanes? Weather changed, so, so did your story?

Hey gang. Most of you are familiar with libertarian and conservative posts poking fun at Al Gore and the IPCC, “realclimate” and others for their failed predictions of worse hurricane seasons and their assertions that “global warming makes hurricanes worse and more frequent.” Posts like “hey Al, where’d those hurricanes go! Bwahaha!” come to mind. And while it’s not a game, you have to admit, the global warming crowd do look pretty foolish on that one.

Here is an example of how global warming causes everything:

  1. no - it is like this all over YA - the minorities have larger internet voices - for example:

there are more deniers in the global warming section

there are more atheists in the religion and spirituality section

there are more republicans in the politics section

remember deniers only have a few points to work with - the hurricane one is a common one.

  2. All I know is that there is only one of me. And I suspect that for many of you, that's enough.

  3. Wow-talk about conspiracy theories.

  4. No, but thanks for the idea.

And FYI, the dissent isn't with the science - it's with the misuse of science that exaggerates the facts to promote green ideologies or political agendas.

  5. I think so....

  6. They do, just like the GW supporters do.

  7. What you are experiencing is called paranoia!

  8. Yes they do.  And thank you for your rant.

  9. I'm not so much worried about the voting system as I am about bad facts getting picked as best answer. It seems to be that way for both sides. Most of the time I just shake my head and laugh.Sometimes I quote from a science book and it's often ignored, but I have picked up a tidbit on occasion.I recently had a question deleted because I said I didn't want to vote on it.A skeptics answer was voted as best and the crying started.I just wanted the facts known nothing more nothing less.

  10. On a blog site someone posted that they are a member of a group of tree huggers that use one of the top contributors handles as a group effort

there is 6 or 7 people that sign on as this one person and have used yahoo answers as a propaganda tool.

  11. No, I'm afraid we are all really out here.
