  1. Revocation of the two option years in his current contract was one of the conditions Ramirez required before approving the trade. So, yes, he'll be a free agent.

  2. no

  3. He will be a free agent. The option for 2009 was negated when he was traded.

  4. yes they should 'cause they really need 'em

  5. As of right now, the L.A. Dodgers officially only have Manny for the next two months. After this season, Manny will either become a free agent or sign a long-term contract with the Dodgers. At first, I was skeptical about this because of his agent, Scott Boras. He's a moneymaker, doesn't get along with the Dodgers, and want the biggest contract he can find out there. But Manny told reporters it isn't about the money since he already made 160 million dollars with the Red Sox.

So, unofficially, there's a good chance he might be a Dodger next year. The reason I say this is because Manny already indicated he found "peace" in Los Angeles and he want to move his family here from Florida. He openly admitted to loving the atmosphere here and said he want to "retire" a Dodger player since the very first uniform he wore was a Dodger jersey his mother bought him when he was a kid.

If the Dodgers are smart, they will try to work a deal with him before the season is over and avoid letting him go into the free agent market. It'll be tough since this is what Scott Boras really want. Remember what he did with J.D. Drew and Alex Rodriguez?

Since Manny is a stubborn guy and usually get what he want, if he truly want to stay as a Dodger, then I'm betting on blue.

  6. He Dose have an option but the chances of it being excercised are next to nothing
