the AUSTRALIA's womens hockey team still has a chance of reaching the semi-finals of the women's hockey event at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games. the Hockeyroos as they are commonly known, must beat the host nation, CHINA PR in their final group match on Monday, 18 August 2008 to qualify for the semi-finals behind the NETHERLANDS. a draw will not be good enough as CHINA PR have a better goal difference compared to AUSTRALIA even though both teams are having the same number of points.
