  1. yes we do, that is SO bl00dy annoying!  And what annoy's us too is any sport where the English get knocked out 1st, the commentators refer to the Irish who are still in as our boys or us!!!!  It is not your boys!!!!!!!!!

  2. NO NO`of course not`-they like taking`my money`when i have a BET`with`PADDY POWER`and`BOYLE SPORTS`but whenever i Back a Winner`which is very Seldom`it only takes a Week`to Get Paid OUT``Kind`arnt`They`

  3. There is a yahoo.ie, it is at http://ie.yahoo.com/

It may not have been because you were English that people hated you when you were here. Did you generalise a lot and say things like 'Do the Irish hate it when...' as if we are all one person?

They saw you coming if they charged you 9 euro for a Coke.

  4. This is not meant to be a smart aleck remark so please don't take it as such. The Brits aren't really liked anywhere in Europe. I suppose this goes back to the time when nearly the whole world was colonised by them. We speak English and when we're on the Continent are often mistaken for being English. The treatment we get when they discover we are Irish is much better. This is a fact of life.

Did you discuss politics while in Ireland? In a pub? Even Irish don't do that - dangerous ground. Yahoo.ie is alive and well and I'm on it! If you paid 11 Euro for a pint then someone saw you coming!

We don't hate the Brits - we hate what was done by them at certain times in our history. Read Irish history and you might understand a little more.

  5. The ONLY thing that bugs me is the way they claim our celebs as Brits, as soon as a band (U2, Westlife etc), actor/actress becomes really famous and start winning major awards, they suddenly become 'British' in all the British celeb magazines, anyone else notice this?

  6. yeah pisses me off, if it yahoo uk and ireland, when was the last time you saw some irish news in the news section and some irish sport! There should be a section devoted to Gaelic Games! Its pathethic! Yahoo get ur act together ya band of blaggards!

  7. mate give them the whole bloody island back and be done with the lot of them.

  8. eh everything isnt but eh not as long as u dont say ireland is in the uk i dont care

  9. Depends on whether it's Northern Ireland or not. but actually yes......they hate anything to do with the English

  10. Ireland Is a Separate country but Northern Ireland is part of the UK

  11. You ignorant piece of limey ****

  12. Hey! Hold on there. My e-mail address is .........@yahoo.ie --

---      and all Dell products come through Limerick.

In the world scheme of things the islands of Great Britain and Ireland play a very small part, so, although I live in N. Ireland, I don't mind the whole area being referred to as The British Isles - it's a geographical description.

However we are Irish here and very happy with it. Come over and visit some time.

  13. I agree with the Irish i have absolutely no brit in me i am strictly Irish and German. and if u ask me Ireland is for the Irish

  14. I dont think the Irish are alone in disliking the English. I lived in London for two years and visited quite a few other countries. When people found out I lived in London they seemed to have a negative attitude toward me but when I told them I was from New York they warmed up. The Irish do seem to be slight more hostile about the English but the Scottish dont seem to give a c**p. They are Scottish first and foremost and I love their attitude.

  15. I've been living here for 3 years and never been told to 'go back to England'. You must have upset somebody. You're right though, Dublin is expensive. And a kip.

  16. we could do with a few more e e g i t s like you if youre going to pay them prices while on holidays
