Do the majority of Americans really believe Fox News reports?

I live in Australia and used to watch Fox news channel for a bit of a laugh, thinking they really must be kidding with some of the stuff they come out with (and with the line 'Fair and Balanced'). I am now getting a little worried though as I have been told that the majority of Americans actually agree with what they are saying. Is this true?

I don't know if it's a majority, but millions and millions of Americans only have opinions because Fox News has told them what to think.  Their loyal viewers are heavily biased, yet convinced that they're not.  Their viewers believe they're fair and balanced because they're told that they are and they believe everything Fox News tells them. They'll never seek out other news sources for more information because everything else is the "liberal media" with some sort of agenda.

Compared to the other networks they are fair and balanced. They aren't so liberal with their propaganda. At least if you were laughing. Your attack on Fox news is really unfounded you must be a very angry person. It sounds like you need to laugh more. Besides at least give an example of why you don't like Fox News.  You just sound snotty when you question people the way you did.... I wanted to say thankyou for the example. I've been watching and listening to news trying to get as much of the truth as I can including newspapers from other countries. All our TV news usually marches in lock step with eachother except for Fox News. I'm not saying they're always right but they are a different view of things.

Fox is believed by many, not only those in the US. The reason is simple.They have only one news source and never check other news media for balance.

The news is supposed to be accurate. But newsreporters can change the story if they feel like it haha. Not like anyone is there to test against what the reporters say.

And I think most Americans would think that the news is reliable so yes, they will agree with what the reporters tell them.
