  1. They would be good, they need a lefty reliever and a catcher, but htey absolutely do not need manny!!! he would be atrocious in the field, considering the fish's stadium is one of the more spacious venues around and he would be an even bigger joke in the field than he already is (fenway is by far the easiest LF to defend of any stadium in baseball, minute maid is close 2nd).  They have a good feng shui going on right now and they dont need a prima donna to ruin that.  Marlins management would be stupid to disrupt what they have and give up the prospects the sox are demanding

  2. Two games back in their division with the breakdown prone Mets and Phillies leading, I would call the Braves a contender.  Getting Manny Ramirez will add a huge boost and could give them enough to surge past those other teams.  Remember that without him they are still hanging tough, with him it could be the straw that broke the camel's back in the precarious NL East.

  3. Well being only 1 1/2 games out, I would already say they are a contender but improve if they get those players.  Didn't they already get Rhodes?

  4. manny would b huge for them, rhodes will add some help in the bullpen and molina will add veteran leadership so yes i call them contenders

  5. The Marlins would not be able to pay Manny's contract, and he'd look like a chicken with his head cut off in a normal sized outfield. The trade will not go through.

  6. they are already contenders

  7. I still say it's not enough to win the division much less win a world Series.
