Question:

Do the names Samantha and Tabitha make you think of witches?

I dunno why I think that. My mother says that it's because of the TV show bewitched, but I never saw that show intil i was about 13, and I thought of witches before then.

I still like the names though.

  2. Tabitha does - it reminds me of tabby cats, or cats in general, which in themselves are linked to cats.

    Tabitha brings to mind a cat at first, but I do like that name

  4. Separately they don't but when you put them next to each other they do sound like witches.

  5. No - Bewitched is old enough now that it's not the first thing that comes to mind when I hear them.

    I love Tabitha spelled with an "e" - Tabetha (Beth could be a nickname)


  6. I only do when they are next to each other. Other than that, I think of my dog Samantha and the movie Bridge to Terabithia.

  7. Neither of them instantly remind me of witches...but after you put the thought of them reminding me of a witch...i thought of bewitched haha, but otherwise nope!

  8. I like Samantha, I don't think it sounds like a witch. But I've never liked Tabitha. It never came to my mind about Bewitched...lol.

  14. When I was younger I had cats named Tabitha, Toby & Samantha.

    So to me they do not sound like witches names.

    Lucinda, Luna and Venus sound like witches names to me!
