Do the newer stretch slipcovers work well?

I know the older slipcovers for a sofa don't really work that well for every day use. They have to be readjusted every time you sit on them. But does anyone know if the newer 'stretch' ones work any better? Or what brand stays put more than others?

I have tried two different ones, both suck....youre better off just getting some material that you like and taking a few tack stiches to make it fitted.
