Do the octopus throwing people get thrown out?

Well, I did hear from a friend who attended one of the games in Pittsburgh that someone threw an octopus on the ice right after the national anthem was sung, and the security guards did come over to him and remove him from the arena.  I don't think I'd take that chance, after spending the money on a ticket just to get thrown out before the game even started.

The team is actually getting fined by the league for every octopus thrown on the ice.  I don't think they are throwing people out, it is a tradition.

Anyone throwing ANYTHING on the ice is subject to being thrown out.

Right before the start of Game 4 in Pittsburgh some threw one onto the ice and he was then thrown out of Mellon arena. He put it in a plastic bag and taped it to his stomach, that is how he got it into the stadium. Right after he was thrown out he went and bought another ticket from a scalper for 300 dollars and got back into the arena. It was all over the local Pittsburgh news!!! Just thought I would let you know!

They would if someone would tell the Ushers and Bouncers who actually threw it. Thats hard to come by in Detroit!
