Okay it's evident they don't want to win cause if they wanted to they would hold a open QB competition which there not doing (they said they were yesterday but Brett has confirmed there not. If the packers don't want him why are they afraid of the vikings getting him. They want him to be a backup which i might see if he wasn't going to get payed 12 million next year you don't want a healthy 12 million dollars on your bench. They need to release him, trade him, or have a real fair open QB competition. What do you think?

  1. i think Favre should crawl into a hole and go away with some class....whoops..too late for that now

  2. Trade Brett Favre to Tampa Bay for Chris Simms & a 3rd round draft pick.

I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin & love the Packers, but the area of green bay as a whole wont roll out the redcarpet for Brett anymore, ship him out!!

  3. i think it was ridiculous the packers offered him 20 mil. just to stay retired....if they don't want him fine but don't hold him hostage! release him if you don't want him so he can have the opportunity of playing with another team

  4. if TT, McCarthy, and the Packers didn't want to win, then why were they so successfully after the 2005 season disaster?  TT and McCarthy look towards the future.  they look for chemistry among young stars, locking these stars up for long term deals, with contracts negotiated strictly upon performance.  Thus explaining their 37 million dollars in cap space.  the upper management believes in Aaron Rodgers just as it believes in everyone it drafts.  did you know the Packers under TT have had the most starters of all NFL teams who were drafted after the 4th Round?  that's incredible.  most GM's would say anyone drafted after that round will probable not get many opportunities to start.  while there are some like TT that believes there are always hidden jewels late in the draft.  remember Tom Brady, Marques Colston, Donald Driver, Joe Montana?  so no, the Packers do not want to lose, they just want to look ahead and solidify their future.  it's all about now and then.  it appears it will work best for both sides if Favre was traded to a non-division team.  i do not blame Favre for wanting to play again.  if he has more fuel left in the tank, by all means, play.  however, due to the circumstances of this offseason and the preparation for Aaron Rodgers, the Packers seem better off without Favre.  preparing for an NFL season is a lot of work and preparation.  remember the Favre retirement in March?  he said he was still fit, but unsure if he could handle the mental preparation anymore.  now he wants to come back after all the offseason workouts.  he has missed so much this offseason in preparing for the season, which will make it difficult for Favre to be successfull.  i am a Packer fan first, Favre fan second. i will stand by and support the team's decision.

  5. They're confusing me and pi$$ing me off. Why wouldn't a team want their best players on the field?

They need to start Favre or release him. Show him some respect and let him play where he wants.
