Do the people in ireland wish that they had free healthcare instead of private? Do you think privatised....?

healthcare is better than socialised healthcare? If so, why?

Last time I checked,  I've been living in the Us for 7 years) we do have nationalized health care.  Actually I believe we have a combo.  Essentially if you don't have private medical insurance you can avail of state health care.  The big difference is in the level of care.  For example with good health insurance you could go to a high end private clinic, Blackrock for example, for a procedure and have a private or semi private room.  On state health care you may have to wait a considerable time and you will be treated at a county general hospital and will be in a general ward room.  We also have differing levels depending on whether you are employed or unemployed.  Employed people pay PRSI (Pay Related Social Insurance) which gives a basic form of health insurance including dental and as i recall optical.  I have had dental work done under PRSI.  The difference was between having metal fillings or enamel.  I basically paid the difference between the two to have enamel.

In addition to healthcare I believe we also have free education including 3rd level (College/Uni)

Uh, there is public healthcare in Ireland .... it is subsidised. But those who can afford it also opt for private health care. It' a choice thing.

there is free health care in ireland for alot of people and some have doctor only visits free.

Anybody over 70 and anybody earning less then a certain amount is entitled to free healthcare!!! I think the system we have is fairly good the big problem is that the health we receive whether it be public or private is terrible!!!
