Do the people of Martinique despise Haiti?

Where did you get that idea?  I'd be interested in knowing your source for this.

Granted the people in Martinique feel a bit superior to some of the other people in the Caribbean, but I think "despise" is a bit harsh for how they feel about Haitians..

I live in Puerto Rico in the Caribbean and this is the first time I hear something like that. However they are French and very strange weird people live there. Perhaps they hate the Haittian Vodoo religion?

Why would they?  Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and deserves compassion not hatred.
