Do the people that send you down the waterslide allow you to go down with a waterproof camera?

  1. I used to work at Wild Rivers in Irvine California many years ago.  The general rule then was that persons were not allowed to carry 'foriegn objects' while using the slides.  I believe the reasoning was that it would be easy for them to lose them one way or another, with the possibility of them flying free and hitting some person to cause an injury.  I have never heard of that actually happening, probably because the majority of water parks do in fact prohibit carrying items while using the attractions.

    You may be able to get special permission to do so, but you should phone the management of the waterpark you wish to visit to find out.  Your typical Lifeguard does not have the discretion to waive rules.  They are doing their best to keep everyone at the park as safe as possible.

    Almost all Lifeguards at Water Parks and Swimming Pools that I have been associated were the legitimate children of their parents, by the way.... (re: previous answer).
