Do the people who wrote off Harringtons chances feel foolish now?

Reading through a lot of peoples answers here they all said Padraig is incapable of playing well injured and only tiger could do that.

He's tearing it up as we speak and closing fast on KJ Choi.

  1. the bottom line is that it is a major championship.  if history has shown us anything it is that anything can happen in a major.  look at palmer at cherry hills or nicklaus in the 86 masters.  the open championship is such a unique test of golf for most on the PGA tour because there are very few true links style courses in America.  there is 50 mph winds and no trees to block it.  its been under 60 degrees for most of the tournament and there has been rain throughout.  i agree with you that anyone who wrote off one of the top players in the world was very foolish.  any player can drop 3 or 4 shots on any hole and the person that makes the fewest mistakes will win and not the one that plays the best.  i always appreciate when others recognize the ignorance in thinking that there is any guarentees on the golf course.
