Do the ponies at the Chincoteague pony farm rideable?

I'm looking into buying 1 for western riding. I just want it to be a nice pony i could ride almost every day

  2. IIRC, there is a Chincoteague Pony Farm on Leonard Lane on Chincoteague Island, on the northeast end.  They do sometimes have ponies for sale, and sometimes they're trained.

If you mean the Chincoteague ponies that are rounded up from CHincoteague Island and auctioned off every year, then yes they are rideable, but not right away.  They are wild when they are brought off the island, so they require professional training in order to be safe to be ridden.  Think of them as mustangs.  They are totally great horses, but need gentled before they are ridden.
