Do the positives of a creatine supplement outweigh the negatives for a competitive runner?

Does the increased muscles recovery outweigh the bulk and or water weight the creatine may cause?

  1. Definitely more postitives than negatives. Creatine is found in our daily diet like meats. The only thing is that you have to load on the first few days depending on the product but some products don't require loading and cycling. I used it off and on for 5 years and the only negatives are that it makes you go to the bathroom on the first day. So if your stomach is not good I would suggest just taking vitamins B.

    But with creatine, you'll see a major difference in energy. It will give you that extra push. I play basketball and when I use it I get tired but the creatine is beneficial for that extra boost which allows me to play longer without getting real tired.

    Since you're a runner you'll probably just lose the water weight anyway.
