Do the recently purchased ipod touches have the newest software update, the 2.0? ?

I just opened my new ipod today and has software 1.1.5 but is says (with software upgrade) and i've been reading around here that it should have versio 2.0, so should i contact apple?

All new iPod's should come with the latest firmware allready installed. I am not sure why yours came with 1.1.5. The only thing I can think of right now is that you could of purchased it from a reseller, rather than Apple and they might not know about the update and so haven't ordered more stock or they gave you an end-of-the-line iPod, in which case, take it back and tell them that you should have got version 2.0 firmware and they should swap it out. If you got you iPod from Apple i would contact Apple as there should be no way that can happen
