  1. cardinals, are you kidding me?  Are they even still above .500?

  2. Yeah, they really do have a shot.  The reason: any team with La Russa at the helm has a chance.

  3. The Cardinals are not mathematically eliminated so they have a chance.  Never count a team out until its over.  Is anyone here old enough to remember 1964.  The Phillie's had a hugh lead with 12 to play and lost 10 in a row and the Cardinals won it all that year.  There have been other times when unbeatable teams suddenly collapse for no apparent reason (ie: 2007 Mets)  So never count out a team until they are mathematically eliminated.

  4. No I don't think so. These are the games the Cards and Brewers have left.

Cards Play- Houston 3, Arizona 7, Cubs 6, Reds 6, Pirates 3 and Marlins 3 times.

Brewers Play- Pirates 6, Reds 6, Cubs 6, Padres 4, Plillies 4 and Mets 3 times. The Brewers should win at the very least 14 of these.

The Cards would have to go 19-9 just to tie with a tougher schedule than the Brewers. Not to mention the Phillies or Mets the Cards will also have to outplay one of them as well.

  5. They have a chance to win the WC, but they won't.

  6. no they are in the toughest division and the brewers will beat them for the wildcard

  7. No, the Brewers are better and other Teams like the Mets and Phillies are behind the Cardinals for the Wild Card which again The Brewers will win

  8. No.  I heard the Cardinals don't even play the Brewers in September again.  That makes it really difficult to make up ground when you're not gaining a full game by beating a division rival.

  9. They still have a chance, but now down by 6 1/2 in the wild card, and the Brewers playing like they are, I don't think they will be there.

    My predictions

    NL Central: Cubs

    NL East: Mets

    NL West: D-Backs

    NL Wild Card: Brewers

    AL Central: White Sox

    AL East: Rays

    AL West: Angels

    AL Wild Card: Red Sox

  10. Im hoping they get in and as the Cards and Brewers schedules go the Brewers have a harder one and the Cards are starting to heat up. Im gonna say yes. Is it just me or did people say that they wouldnt get in in the 2006 season? Well they got in and won so I have no clue but our club is full of surprises.

  11. Not when CC Sabathia is their competition.  They've had all that star power -- they should have been in first place most of the year.

Their stars should have been healthy all year....but they haven't been and they won't be now.  The Brewers will make the Wild Card and the Cubs will win the division for the second straight year.
