Do the tape things really work?

I really want to learn French and I want to be able to speak it like I knew it since I was little. I was thinking about using one of those tapes that you listen to at night and you learn the language. Do they actually work and if not what's the best way to learn it? Thx lots!!! :D

I don't think they do But there is a lot of hipe behind Rosetta Stone try that My mother tried it and now knows how to speak english
