I think wind is caused by trees when they lean and sway instead of the swaying being the effect of wind. It just makes more sense.

  1. no wind is caused by... airplanes or somthing like that

  2. That is physically impossible, It occurs as air is heated by the Sun and thus rises. Cool air then rushes to occupy the area from which the hot air has just moved. It could be loosely classed as a convection current

  3. lol. i think you're funny. & I don't think that trees cause wind. I was always taught it was the other way around.

  4. no offence but i am now dummer after reading this question

no i don't think that, that is the way it works to be honest...

  5. go to this sight its a interactive thing on how wind is created!!!

  6. No.........funny....but no trees do not cause the wind.

  7. Except that wouldn't explain the tremendous windstorms on the Great Plains, where there are few to zero trees...

  8. No. Wind is caused by uneven heating of the Earth's surface. A hotter area creates higher pressure, and a cooler area creates lower pressure. Since the pressure wants to be the same in both areas, air flows from the higher pressure area to the lower pressure area, creating wind.

  9. Trees do not cause wind.  But eating a large bowl of beans does.
