  1. The new dangerous driver fees do not apply to out of state drivers.  Only Virginia residents.  So if you are coming from out of state, and you are speeding, you will not get slapped with the extra $1,000s in fees.

This is just one more thing that makes it suck living in Virginia.

  2. More than 15 ,they don't cut no one no slack in Virginia,my sister lives there and when i go visit i have to be extremely careful they are always watching for out of state tags, and it doesn't do any good to argue the point with them, they wont budge from their decision, anything over the speed limit there  will get you a ticket, good luck and merry x-mas.

  3. I live in Pa and while I was on vacation I was an idiot and was stopped in Bristol doing 75 in a 55 and the cop was nice enough to lower my speed 1 mph so it wasn't considered wreckless driving.  Problem is, I can't remember if this was Bristol, Tn or Virginia......anyway, to my surprise the ticket only totalled $101.
