What does it say about the other women in the game that either of the williams sisters at their best (and most especially serena) can sweep the best of them aside like cheap trash and are still playing even after clijsters and henin bowed out to go be mommies and wives? maybe its time to acknowledge that the williams sisters represent a new kind of woman, and that the effete, delicate, genteel kind of woman who needs to be rescued just cant compete anymore-- in tennis or elsewhere-- and that the coming age is the age of women who are feminine but dont mind kicking your @$$.

  1. I'm not sure, but if either one of them mated with Patrick Ewing, they would represent a new species.

  2. They do indeed.

Some of the players are so out of shape.

They don't seem to realise that it's not just that you can hit a ball over a net but that you can keep up to do so and that requires a higher standard of fitness.

  3. Ok, sure. Yeah, their good. Umm, i dont quite understand this

  4. agree somewhat

  5. I just think it means that Venus and Serena are two of the best tennis players to ever hit the sport, which is something we are all aware of.

  6. The Williams sisters represent how professional sports should be approached and played.  They have a life outside of tennis, and they are not burned out.  What amazes me is that people still criticize them, when they should be trying to learn from them.
