  1. Portholes?  Yeah, some do.  I've always loved those things.  : )

  2. Yes, some of the windows (they have picture windows not necessarily port holes) slide open while others don't~just depends on the room and the ship.  The more expensive the room the better chance of having windows!

  3. No, windows on cruise ships do not open.  Instead of getting an ocean view room, spend a few more dollars and get a balcony room.  The floor to ceiling sliding glass door lets in lots of light and makes the room (usually 170 sq. ft.) seem larger.  It is also great to sit on the balcony in the morning or the evening and just enjoy that wonderful view.

  4. You need to get a room with a balcony. I don't think those portholes open.

  5. Some do some don't get a balcony it's soooo worth it.........

    =)

  6. The ships I went on did not have windows in your room that opened.

  7. no

  8. Most windows do not open ---balcony cabins have doors that will.
