Do the words destiny and accident contradict each other?

and I know that someone could find their destiny by accident but usually every destiny happens for a reason so therefore it couldn't be an accident

Some may say that an accident is your destiny, but accidents seem so random, whereas destiny is your fate.

Our destiny is usually inevitable, where as an accident occurs unintentionally.

If you believe in destiny, then your destiny could not be an accident, maybe your destiny revealed itself unexpectedly.  I personally believe God is in control.

If one happens to believe in destiny, which I don't, then by definition nothing is accidental.  But the determinists can't lose.  If one avoids accidents because one is careful, then one is destined to be careful. Q.E.D..
