we went to six flags hurricane harbor this weekend. and as promised, it was a day we'll never forget. it was so crowded you couldn't breathe. the lazy river was jammed elbow to elbow and was absolutley polluted. the wave pool was so crowded you couldn't move in any direction. to make the whole ordeal worse, the waterslide attendants would wait a full thirty seconds after the last person to ride had cleared the water before letting the next rider to go. the only apparent reason for this seemed to be to discourage would be riders from waiting in the lines so they would have nothing else to do but spend money on drinks and food. what a rip off!

  1. Yeah, parks do have maximum occupancy limits. Many times I have been at Disneyland when they stopped selling tickets. When I workerd there, Universal studios supposedly had a max occupancy of 45,000, at least that is what I remember, but it was packed shoulder to shoulder at 37,000 on day. Why it was so crowded at Hurrican Harbor, I don't know. They  were probably near capacity. Some parks have policies that they have to allow season pass holders and those who already have tickets into the park. So Yes, they do have codes to follow.

  2. yes they do - - I've been to Busch Gardens many times in the summer when they don't allow more people in until some people have left.   The same goes for Disney World & Universal & King's Dominion.   I'm sure the other parks have the same policy.
