Do these baby girl names look trendy? elegant? pretty?

Give your HONEST opinion. Tell me whatever you think. Rate them and give your first impression, please!

GIRLS:

-Anise (ah - "NEICE")

-Anaïs (ah - na - EES)

-Merve*** ("MARE" - vay) (Turkish name)

-Lorraine ("lore" - "RAIN")

-Caroline ("CARE" - oh - "line")

(***Should I write Mervé instead?)

If any of these girls' names happen to get used, they would (except Merve) probably be used as MIDDLE names.

I think they are all pretty bad.  If your going to name a kid, you should name them something that will be easy for them to spell and easy for other to pronounce otherwise they will spend the rest of their lives correcting ppl and answering questions.

i like Merve but I think the way its spelled it will be confused by alot of people and alot of people will mispronounce it. I think you should just spell it different. Maybe Marvei, Marvay, Marvey. That way its spelled how it sounds, much less confusing. Lorraine and Caroline sound too old. I think Anais seems weird and Anise is pretty. I'm one for off the wall names or mixed together names; for instance, I was going to mix my two nieces names together for my daughters middle name, There names are Brianna and Aliciyia so I was going to make it Alianna, but instead I just decided to name my daughter Brianna Aliciyia. lol. But I like your idea for different names

I love Anais....but people tell me someone with this name would inevitably be called a**s.  :(  Probably same thing with Anise.  Hate Lorraine.  Makes me think of a big busy waitress who chain smokes and makes crappy diner coffee.  Caroline is a classic.  Love it with the nn Carrie.

Anise is nice-- it reminds me of Anise Seed though, which is a seasoning, haha.

Anais is BEAUTIFUL-- modern yet classic at the same time

Merve is wonderful, also. A tad hard to pronounce, but ethnic and pretty!

Lorraine is nice, I like it as a middle name.

And as for Caroline? Yeah, I'd say thats pretty good too (: LOL

I love Mervé, beautiful name. I also like Caroline. Depending on where you live, Anise and Anaïs may be teased for immature reasons. I'm only saying that cause I know girls by these names. Lorraine is a bit plainer than the rest but it's still just as pretty.

* Anise - reminds me of the spice .. which is yucky

* Anais - even though you wrote out the pronunciation i'm still not sure how to spell it so i don't really like it

* i like Mervé - you won't necessarily need the accent but your child will have to be prepared for a lifetime of correction people but that's ok i think it makes people more interesting

* i don't like Lorraine it sounds old and harsh

* Caroline is ok...sounds very common though

Lorraine is the only one that is trendy, elegant, and pretty. plus people could actually pronounce it. if you want ot do Merve, i would use the one with the accent thing, because otherwise it would be pronounce the way its written. mer vuh, instead of mare vay. k?

Anise - I love this the best. It sounds like you could put a cute ring into it.

Anais - I like this one too. But, I think alot of people would say it wrong. That might be the fun of it though!

Merve - Eh, I don't like it as much. I would spell it with the accent though if I use it.

Lorraine - I like it =] I think of something s**y when I wear it, I don't know why. Lol

Caroline - I  immediately think House on the Prairie. Hah. But it could work.
