do alpine type e's hit hard?

are they better than most ppls little systems

  1. go with the type R's, wat that last guy said, entry level.....


  2. they are entry level subs, so they would be considered like "most ppls little systems"

    if you provide them with the correct amp and put them in a nice ported/slotted box (with the correct dimensions) it will sound pretty good- nothing to write home about (don't expect to set off any car alarms)

  3. Hit Hard. Why would any body what to get hit hard?

  4. IF you want a good hit for your buck go with rockford fosgate you will get both the amount of power you need from there amps and enough bass from their subs. Alpine have good amps not really good subs so you can do a mix and match. If you really want to be heard and have the money for it go with a 12 inch jl audio w6 and just get a good alpine amp .

  5. i have one type E, its an entry level sub, if you are running 100-250 RMS, type R are the big bad boys, you can run i think 600 RMS or something on them, type e are most peoples little systems, i have 250 RMS it doesn't seem little to me
