    these three sentences are used in three different occasions or objectives.

  5. No, they are all different. (And example 3 is grammatically incorrect ... it has to be "Ask ?? [the switchboard operator, the secretary] to put you through .... Example 2 also doesn't make much sense, something about demanding a result rather than an action.
