Question:

Do these two things help me sleep?

How long before bed time should you drink warm milk and honey? And how much of each should you have? Together or separately? Anything I need to know? I've been having some trouble sleeping and I want some natural stuff, so. Thanks.

  1. I would say about 30minutes. Just an 8 ounce glass and a tablespoon of honey should do you fine. Your body produces melatonin, which helps you sleep. They sell that over the counter if you wish to purchase it. It works wonders and it is natural. I would try the milk and honey first though.  


  2. Try a book and warm milk. Honey= sugar. You don't want sugar before you go to bed. Good night!

  4. I'm not so sure about the milk but i do have this trick for you.

    Put a couple of drops of Lavender Essential Oil on your pillow and when you get into bed take some deep slow breaths and relax. Concentrate on relaxing every set of muscles from your forehead, to your toes. by the time you have slowly done this the oils effects should be making you prime for sleep! Its an oldie but a goodie!


  5. A glass (about 16 ounces) of milk with a tablespoon of honey.

    Milk is not really a very powerful sleep inducer though. It's effects are mostly psychological.

    If you are trying to fall asleep with natural products, try teas like chamomille or valerian (they are non-caffienated herbs).

  6. I'm not sure. I just drink warm milk whenever i want too. I just  grab a glass of  milk and then go to bed. Just one glass of warm milk do for me. I'm not into honey.. but if it helps I may try too. Just a spoonful of honey I guess. Isn't it too much sweet can raise your sugar?  

    Ive read something from yahoo some time ago that to help yourself getting a good sleep.. refrain watching tv.one hour  before your bed time. Also avoid using computer like doing emails or browsing one hour before going to bed.
