I figured this while watching the nationwide race at lowes. The crowd was just as loud as it would be during a cup race, but there was 1/4 the crowd.

  1. i think so. it seems a little far-fetched that there are that many more dale jr. fans at EVERY TRACK! i mean there are 42 other drivers out there with him and not everyone is an Earnhardt fan. i think he sucks! LET'S GO MATT! #17 Dewalt Ford

  2. No

  3. i doubt it, he's just popular, and the actual volume is probably set for the size of crowd to be similar to a full crowd, so if they made it louder, they made it louder for the whole race equally.

However... Who knows? Who cares? As long as they're not adding Jeers to anyone.

  4. Can't prove they do it, but they've been caught adding in stuff before. It's funny I can hear the crowd chearing for Jr, but I don't hear them booing Kyle Busch, and I KNOW that happens.

  5. We go to Texas twice a year and although the crowd is loud for Jr, they are just as loud for Tony, Jeff, and Mikie.  I've not seen a Texas race on tv the last few years so I don't know if they manipulate the crowd noise or not.  I can tell you that they have mics mounted throughout the grandstands though so it would certainly be possible
