  1. It can depend on the rules of the country.  Many require all animals to go through a quarantine meaning while they are on the plane with you, when  you have completed the flight they are sent to a quarantine station for a set amount of time.

    And then it can depend on the pet.  There is also restrictions on what is allowed on the plane and what you are allowed to bring into the country.  Dogs & cats aren't usually a problem, but things like birds, fish, snakes, etc.. do have restrictions.
