Do they ask for some type of identification while taking the ferry for martha's vineyard in massechusetts ?

i wanted to know because,

my cousin that is coming to martha's vineyard with me is twelve.

but she looks like she could be fifteen.

are they going to ask for like a birth certificate copy or will they just ignore it ?

may be but not to worry. just bring along any personal document(identity card) or photocpy of birth certificate.
