Do they check you/your luggage on via rail?

I'm travelling Via Rail from Ontario to Montreal. I wanted to know if they will be checking myself (ex. like security checks you in an airport) & my carry-on, luggage, etc. Thank you!

It depends how strict your country is. It is possible they would check. Don't go smuggling things. Big fines.

When you are to hand over your luggage that time only they will charge additional if load is more , From then none bothers.
