  1. They will X ray your bags before they are brought on board. If you bring bottles of booze with you, they will be spotted and more than likely confiscated until you get back to port after the cruise. They could also be broken by the baggage handlers, which would result in booze soaked clothing.

Imagine being stuck on a ship with all of your clothes stained, and stinking of alcohol? Doing laundry on a ship is VERY expensive. On Carnival, for example, it's $15 for a small laundry bag full.

  2. yes, you would get in trouble. you're underage.

  3. Yes, your bags will be taken and x-rayed.  Liquor is contraband, even for adults.  Your liquor will either be confiscated or broken by handling and ruin your clothes and everyone elses.  Baggage is returned to your cabin after it has been checked.  You are the guy that I HATE on cruises.  You cause trouble for everyone.  I'm sure you'll sneak on liquor at a port.  You have to hide in your tiny little cabin to drink it.  Then you'll be puking all night or disgustingly loud.

  4. they absolutely will and then they will confiscate the bottles....its not worth the risk, just pay for the ships booze...you dont want to get thrown off the ship

in a post 9/11 world how wouldnt they check every single bag...are they really just going to throw them on the ship and be done with it? would that be safe?

they say when you get on and off the ship at home port they have special dogs to sniff out anything from food to cigars to alcohol to drugs...its a felony to get caught with somethings so why risk it?

  5. First, yes they do scan all your luggage and anything else you bring on board everytime you board.  If you have alcohol they will take the alcohol out.  Unfortuneately, because you're under 21 they will also not give it back to you.  Depending on the person inspecting you, they may not even let you board.

The cruise lines will not allow you to purchase alcohol on board unless you are 21 anyway.  Your boarding card will have all your passport info on it and you will use it to make any purchases on board as well as for ID on board ship.  You can't use cash for purchases, so when you try to buy a drink on board, they'll swipe your card, and you will not be served.  If someone else buys a drink and gives it to you, the ship can put you and the other person off the ship at the next port and it will be your responsibility and cost to get yourself back home.

If you purchase alcohol while on shore (because you will be able to do so in some countries outside the US) you might be allowed to bring it on board, but the cruise line will take any alcohol being brought on board, mark it with your room number and give it to the passenger when they disembark in the US.  However, in your case, since you're under 21, they will not give the alcohol back to you.

Personally, I don't think it would be worth ruining or losing a chance at a great cruise because of alcohol.

  6. If you put the liquor in the CHECKED IN luggage, it will make it to your room.  Do not try to carry the liquor on in one of your carry on bags - they will take it away then.

  7. Well, you know it is illegal for people under 21 to consume any alcoholic beverages.  So, why are you doing it?  Who are you going with on the cruise?  Anyway, the answer to your questions is YES they will scan your bag.  You need to read the on board rules and regulations to know whether or not they allow you to bring any alcoholic beverages with you.  I hope you are not drinking and driving.

  8. yes they have 2 its the law

  9. If ur old engough no.

But if ur a Minor there can be a problem also check ur boarding pass cuz it may say if ur able to bring it on board minor or not.!!!

  10. Bags are x-rayed in most ports and cruise lines.  For specific restrictions on your ship, you should read the rules and regs and call you cruise line to reconfirm.
