  1. No.  But they do count a step-parents income.  So if you live with your mom and she is married (your step-dad) then you have to put both hers and step-dads info on the fafsa.  Even if they didn't file together the previous year and even if they werent married the previous year.

  2. If the parent's are separated or divorced, they will only use the primary parent's information.
