Do they do the wrold cup like the olympics?

by that i mean, DO they have a host city each time. and the jost city prepares a big stadium like china and all that.

how many games can you lose in the world cup before being disqualified.

and how do countries qualified for it

they seem to these days have a small opening ceremony.  

They compete in teams in there region for a places.

I assume that you are talking about Soccer.

The Soccer World Cup has a host country (sometimes two) and matches are played throughout the host countries at several different venues.  World Cup tournaments first have Round Robin segments with 8 pools of 4 teams each.  Three points are given to a team if they win, One point for a draw, and No points for a loss.

After the Round Robin play finishes, they move into a single elimination tournament.

Because of the Round Robin format, you could theoretically lose two (or possibly 3) matches before being eliminated, or as few as one, depending on when you are eliminated.
