  1. The french use mayonnaise in alot of their dishes. French food is known for thick creamy sauces so they often use it to make different types of sauces. The mayonnaise their is more creamy and taste better so you should try it. Other than sauces they use it just as much as us.

  4. no.. they eat a lot of mayonnaise in belgium and holland though... but the mayonnaise is made differently there and has a particular taste.. its definately tastier than any hellmans or miracle whip in north america..:) but then again europe is known for its food:)

    It forms the basis of dozens of other sauces and if made with butter rther than olive oil is Hollandaise, itself the basis of several dozen more sauces.

    Aïoli, Rouille, and Sauce rémoulade are all based on mayonnaise and are essential to French cuisine.
